Popular American actor, Will Smith has revealed that he had once contemplated suicide during the taping of his forthcoming docuseries where he stated that there are “whole lot of hidden things” about himself that people don’t know.
The actor in the trailer for his documentary series “Best Shape of My Life,” in which he sets out to lose 20 pounds in 20 weeks revealed that at a point in his life he once thought of committing suicide.
“When I started this show, I thought I was getting into the best shape of my life physically, but mentally I was somewhere else, I ended up discovering a whole lot of hidden things about myself. That was the only time in my life that I ever considered suicide.” Will said in a voiceover for the series which premieres November 8.
Although it’s not clear when the actor had the suicidal thoughts, but presumably, he may open up about in the series.
Will Smith also made it clear to his fans that what you see on screen is not real, “What you’ve come to understand as Will Smith, the alien-annihilating MC, bigger-than-life movie star, is largely a construction, a carefully crafted and honed character designed to protect myself, to hide myself from the world. To hide the coward.” He said.
In the trailer for the series shared on YouTube the 53-year-old actor is seen series writing his memoirs, exercising and sitting around a table with his children Trey, 28, Willow, 20, and Jaden, 23.
