Wizkid, Tems Bag Five Nominations At The 2021 Soul Train Awards. (See Full List of Nominees)

Nigerian singers, Wizkid and Tems have been nominated five times respectively for the 2021 Soul Train awards.

Wizkid and Tems had joint nominations in the ‘Song of The Year’, ‘Video of The Year’, ‘The Ashford and Simpson songwriter’s award’ and ‘Best Collaboration categories for their collaborative song ‘Essence’.

Wizkid was then nominated for ‘Album of The Year’ for his 2020 project ‘Made In Lagos’. This earns him the title of the third most nominated artiste after American artists, H.E.R with 8 nominations and Chris Brown with 6.

Also Wizkid’s fourth studio album ‘Made In Lagos’, is the first African album in history to receive an “Album of the Year” nomination at the Soul Train Awards.

Tems also bagged a solo nomination in the ‘Best New Artist’.

The Soul Train Music Awards honour the best in African-American culture music and entertainment. Its 2021 edition will air on November 28.
