The AFCON 2021 tournament has been an exciting one even as the last round of the group stage matches will commence later this week.

Twenty goals have been scored already following the conclusion of match day 2 fixtures, with Cameroonian captain Vincent Aboubakar, currently leading the race for the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations’ Golden Boot with four goals to his name.

Aboubakar currently has four goals from two fixtures played so far, netting a brace in both matches against Burkina Faso and Ethiopia to seal the hosts’ spot in the last-16 with a game to spare.

The likes of Senegal talisman Sadio Mane, Liverpool team-mate Salah and Ghana veteran Andre Ayew are also off the mark, with a slew of Nigeria players also netting – Kelechi Iheanacho’s goal downed Egypt before Samuel Chukwueze, Taiwo Awoniyi and Moses Simon all netted against Sudan.

1 goal: Mohamed Salah (Egypt), Taiwo Awoniyi (Nigeria), Sadio Mane (Senegal), Moses Simon (Nigeria), Samuel Chukwueze (Nigeria), Andre Ayew (Ghana), Max Gradel (Ivory Coast), Sofiane Boufal (Morocco), Selim Amallah (Morocco), Zakaria Aboukhlal (Morocco).
