Davido keeps his word, donates N250 million to 292 orphanages around the country. (See List)

Popular Nigerian music singer, Davido has delivered on his commitment to donate his N250 million birthday gift to orphans around the country.

The music singer praised the committee that was set up to transfer the monies in a statement posted on his Twitter profile on Tuesday, February 15, 2022.

Part of the statement said, “Since its inception, the members of the committee have worked diligently to ensure that they gather the names and information of the recorded and verified orphanages.”

He went on to say that all of the monies had been distributed to 292 orphanages throughout the country.

Davido raised N200 million in less than 72 hours after sharing his bank account information on social media on his birthday in 2021.

It will be recalled that the singer promised that the N250 million he contributed to orphanages across the country will reach the children.

Every year, as part of celebrations commemorating his birthday, the music singer and father of three said his goal is to raise donations.
