Ganduje expresses his support for Tinubu, claims northerners have no other choice.

Governor Abdullahi Ganduje of Kano State has declared his support for Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s presidential bid, claiming that northerners had no choice candidate to back except the former governor of Lagos State.

Ganduje believes that northerners must rally behind Tinubu’s presidential campaign.

The APC’s national head launched his candidacy for president in 2023 in January and has been touring the country since then, seeking support and collaboration from political leaders and traditional authorities.

On Monday, February 21, 2022, Ganduje spoke at the inauguration of a Tinubu office for Northern Youth Professionals, saying that northerners must back Tinubu’s aspiration.

The governor, who was represented by Dr Baffa Dan’agundi, the Managing Director of Kano Road Traffic Agency, stated that supporting Tinubu was vital to repay the people of the South-West for their support of Muhammadu Buhari for President of the country in 2015.

From the APC primary to the presidential election, he claimed Tinubu stood firm and guaranteed that the people of the south-west backed Buhari.

“I don’t have much to say other than to align myself with Senator Kashim Shettima of Borno State’s statement that Northern Nigeria has no choice but to support the Yoruba race first and in the entire Yoruba race, who”? Bola Tinubu is the name.” He said.

If I ask you to name one individual who backed Muhammadu Buhari, the Northern candidate, there is no one else you can name save Bola Tinubu.” He added.

Ganduje stated that it was past time for the north to rally behind Tinubu’s presidential bid so that he could lead the country to new heights.

Abdullahi Yakasai, the organization’s National Coordinator, stated that they were backing Tinubu’s presidential ambition because of his passion for Nigeria’s development.

He went on to say that Tinubu’s administration would handle the country’s ongoing security issues as well as promote socioeconomic progress.
