I feel terrible for small businesses in Nigeria due to fuel scarcity – RMD

Richard Mofe-Damijo, a veteran Nollywood actor, has raised concern for small Nigerian businesses due to fuel shortages around the country.

According to the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, NNPC, the importation of millions of litres of contaminated fuel into the country interrupted fuel supply across the country.

Scarcity has resulted, as have long lines at gas stations and unfathomable hardships for Nigerians who must journey considerable distances to achieve their destinations.

RMD reacted by saying that the past few days have been depleting owing to a lack of gasoline, a spike in diesel, and nearly no electricity supply.

The actor expressed his sympathies with small businesses in Nigeria that are struggling to thrive due to the scenario in a post on his Instagram page.

These past couple of days have been depleting in between scarcity of fuel, spike in diesel price, and nearly non-existent power supply,” he wrote in his post.

“I can’t help but feel terrible for small enterprises who are just scraping by and rely on these essentials to thrive.”

Meanwhile, the NNPC apologized to Nigerians and pledged that regular gasoline supply would be restored in a few days.
