15th Headies ‘Next Rated’ Winner To Win 2022 Bentley Bentayga, Award To Be Held In U.S.

The organisers of the prestigious Headies award on Tuesday, March 1st,2022 made a big announcement concerning how the event will be held this year.

The organisers revealed that the 15th edition of the Headies award will be held in Atlanta, Georgia, USA.

This is the first time the legacy award ceremon has left Nigeria, choosing to take it to the diaspora and create a new path.

The organisers further revealed that it holds on July 2, 2022, with partnership from the US consulate.

Also, the Headies Next Rated Category will now be giving out a Bentley.Whoever wins the Next Rated will get a Bentley 2022 model.

According to popular music journalist, Joey Akan, “the organisers dont want artists giving their cars to their manager. They want a vehicle that stars can drive and take pride in.“

The organisers further revealed that The 15th Headies will cover from October 2020 – December 2021 as its Year-In -Review.

New award categories were also introduced. The new categories to be introduced at the 15th Headies include;

– Music Executive of the Year

– Best Afrobeat Pop Single (Nigeria)

– Best Afrobeat Pop Album (Nigeria)

– Best African Collaboration

– Best International Collaboration

– African Artiste of the Year

The Headies Call For Entries will begin on the 8th of March, 2022 – 12th of April 2022.
