#LegitLists: Ten Football Stars You Never Knew Were Once Teammates.

In the world of sports – football as a reference in this post, there are several cases where sports stars happen to play as team mates both at club and national level at a point in time and most times not many people are probably aware of the football superstars who once, surprisingly, played side by side.

Some of these players have been able to get their boots on alongside their idols, or wonderkids on their way to stardom.

WILFRIED ZAHA & EDGAR DAVIDS.

Edgar Davids once played alongside with Wilfried Zaha during his spell at Crystal Palace in 2010. The Dutchman and the Ivorian played six matches together.

JESSE LINGARD & HARRY KANE.

English football stars Jesse Lingard and Harry Kane were once teammates in the early days of their career while playing at Leicester City Football Club.

MAURICIO POCHETTINO & RONALDINHO.

Among other stars Mauricio Pochettino also had the pleasure of playing with Ronaldinho. The two South Americans shared a dressing room at Paris Saint-Germain, where Pochettino is now the head coach.

KURT ZOUMA & PIERRE-EMERICK AUBAMEYANG.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Kurt Zouma were teammates at Saint-Etienne together from January 2012 to July 2013.

SERGE GNABRY & DARREN FLETCHER.

During a loan spell at West Brom during the 2015-16 season, Serge Gnabry found himself playing alongside former Manchester United midfielder Darren Fletcher on two occasions. 

DEJAN LOVREN & ANTHONY MARTIAL.

During the 2012-13 season, Anthony Martial and Dejan Lovren were teammates at Lyon. The both played a total of 11 minutes together for Lyon against Ajaccio in a Ligue 1 match.

DAVID MOYES & DAVID BECKHAM.

David Beckham and David Moyes were both teammates at Preston during the 1994-95 season. They both played a handful of games together at Preston while the Beckham was on loan from Manchester United at the time.

DAVID DE GEA & SERGIO AGUERO.

Manchester United goalie, David De Gea was once teammates with former Manchester City forward Sergio Aguero. They both played 71 games together at Atletico Madrid.

PEP GUARDIOLA & FRANCESCO TOTTI.

In 2002 Pep Guardiola and Francesco Totti were both teammates at Serie A club AS Roma. However, they both played just three matches together.

IVAN RAKITIC & MESUT OZIL.

Ivan Rakitic and Mesut Ozil played at Schalke04 together in the 2007/08 Bundesliga season. They played 15 games together at Schalke before moving on to Real Madrid and Sevilla, respectively.
