Read Joeboy’s Reaction to Asa’s N300M Suit Filed Against Him for Copyright Infringement.

Popular Nigerian afrobeat singer and songwriter, Joeboy earlier today, Tuesday, October 4th, 2022, reacted to a N300,000,000 suit filed against him for copyright infringement by award-winning singer Asa.

Joeboy was allegedly served the notice which claimed that his song “Contour” produced by Tempoe infringed on the copyright of Asa.

According to the letter, “Contour” infringed on the copyright of a musical composition which was created by Asa in a recording session which took place on September 22nd, 2022, with Tempoe in attendance at that said session.

The suit demanded that Joeboy remove the song from all digital platforms within twenty-four hours, issue a written apology, pay N300 million, and assign Asa a sixty-percent publishing split.

On Monday, October 3rd, 2022 shared the notice on his Instagram page and made a joke off it.

“Cos i dey always do love and light you think sey i be soft meatYou said i have 24 hours, it’s been 48hours, do something,” Joeboy wrote.
