Davido speaks on returning to music after Ifeanyi’s death. (Video)

Nigerian music star, David “Davido” Adeleke has opened up about his successful attempt to return back to the music space after the death of his son, Ifeanyi Adeleke.

In a recent interview with CNN, Davido revealed that grieving the loss of his son had some impact on his album.

According to the Davido Music Worldwide label boss, he had finished the album before the tragic loss, which made him take a step back.

“Before my son passed, we had finished the album. But it was a tragic situation and I had to calm myself down and take a step back”.

Speaking on his return, Davido credits it to the love he received from his fans, family, friends, and loved ones.

“At some point, I couldn’t open my Instagram for weeks. One day, I just checked it and I saw messages from every kind of person in the world. I was like you’re fine, you see everybody is rooting for you. That was one thing that made me strong enough to stand up again, get back in the studio, and do what I love”.
