Asisat Oshoala is optimistic about the Super Falcons’ chances of winning a medal at the 2024 Olympic Games.
The team, boasting nine African championships, is making its Olympic comeback after a 16-year hiatus.
Randy Waldrum’s squad faces a challenging group that includes Spain, Japan, and Brazil. Despite the formidable competition, Oshoala remains hopeful about their medal prospects in Paris.
“I have great confidence in our team. We have a lot of young talent that can create difficulties for our opponents.
“We’re not just aiming to advance past the group stage; I truly believe we have a shot at securing a medal.”
The Super Falcons will kick off their Olympic journey against Brazil at the Matmut Atlantique in Bordeaux on Thursday.
