Vybz Kartel and Buju Banton, two prominent figures in the reggae and dancehall music scene, reunited at Vybz Kartel’s sold-out concert at the Barclays Center in New York on April 12, 2025.

This marked the first time they had been together publicly in over 16 years.

The event, which also included a performance by Spice, was described as a “homecoming” for Vybz Kartel, who had not performed in New York in over two decades.
