Sean “Diddy” Combs has returned the key to New York City, which was awarded to him in September 2023, at the request of Mayor Eric Adams.

The decision comes after a video surfaced showing Diddy attacking his ex-girlfriend Cassie Ventura in a hotel hallway in 2016

Mayor Adams wrote to Diddy on June 4th, expressing his deep disturbance at the video and requesting the key’s return. The mayor’s office received the key on June 10th.

Diddy had been facing criticism and backlash since the video’s release, with many calling for him to return the key. The move is seen as a symbol of accountability and a stand against domestic violence.
