Jide Kosoko Stands By His Vote for Tinubu, Calls for Respect in Political Choices

On July 29, 2024, Nollywood veteran Jide Kosoko spoke out in defense of his decision to vote for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the 2023 general elections, despite Nigeria’s current economic challenges.

In an interview on the show Curiosity Made Me Ask, hosted by Isbae U, Kosoko addressed questions about his political choices and the public’s reactions. He asserted that everyone has the right to vote according to their preferences without facing intimidation.

Kosoko emphasized, “No one should be bullied for their voting choices. It’s a personal decision, and I stand by mine. I believe in the leader I chose, and I am confident he is performing well.”

He elaborated on his reasons for supporting Tinubu, pointing to his longstanding contributions to Nigeria’s democracy and development. “I’ve known Tinubu for years and witnessed his significant impact on the country. His role in shaping our democracy is undeniable, and I support him based on his proven track record,” Kosoko added.
