Mercy beats Tacha at the Starzz Awards

Big Brother Naija reality star, Mercy has defeated her ‘rival’ Tacha at the Starzz Awards to emerge as the Emerging Celebrity of The Year at the awards ceremony.

Mercy was nominated alongside Shatta Bandle from Ghana and Tacha for ‘Emerging celebrity of the year’ category, an award she won after being voted massively by her fans.

According to the organizers, winners were determined by the general public as fans voted for their preferred winners in selected categories.

Shatta Bandle from Ghana had his 1st celebrity awards nomination at the awards, but was unable to win. Well, the nomination would help further propel his brand.

The nominees for this years Starzz Awards were top notch A-list stars and brands in Nigeria. There were 27 award categories.
