The measure was sit-at-home and avoid any gathering of more than 50 persons, that was the directive made by the federal government to curtail the spread of Coronavirus and Lagos State being the highest hit of the COVID-19, one would think such measures will be taken seriously but Funke Akindele and her husband Abdulrasheed Bello (JJC Skillz) decided to host a celebrity party which was against everything the state and country stands for in this present time of Coronavirus pandemic.
Funke and her husband JJC Skillz were arraigned for breaching the Lagos Infection Disease Regulations 2020 which prescribes a jail term of a month, N100,000 or 3 months community service for violating the stay at home order. Funke has since started the community service as a photo of her was seen earlier but it was still unknown what the fate of Naira Marley was.
Afeez Fashola popularly known as Naira Marley has agreed to shoot a video against the spread of COVID-19 pandemic in collaboration with the Lagos State Government. The video will part of the condition for the Lagos State to withdraw any charge against him.
“I hereby undertake to join the Lagos State campaign against the spread of the COVID-19 by making a free audio-visual publication towards the campaign against COVID-19,” Naira Marley told Chief Magistrate Yewande Aje-Afunwa in the letter.
According to The Nation, Mrs. Aje-Afunwa approved the withdrawal of the charge against Marley. So don’t be surprised when you see a video from Naira Marley campaigning against the spread of Coronavirus in collaboration with the Lagos State Government.
