Dstv, Gotv, and Startimes Allow Nigerians Access To Free Channels.

Following the order of the National Broadcasting Commission (NBC) to decrypt signals of local channels on their platforms to allow Nigerians have free access to them. Dstv, Gotv and startimes have those decrypted some channels for free to Nigerians.

According to the Commission, the move was aimed at allowing Nigerians to have, “unhindered access to information and directives from WHO and NCDC on the Covid-19 pandemic” in the country.

The NBC said, “DSTV and GOTV have decrypted 5 channels. These channels are NTA News, NTA Sports, NTA Parliamentary, NTA2 Lagos and NTA International. While Startimes have decrypted NTA News, ChannelsTv, AIT and other local channels, and FreeTv has decrypted all the channels on its platform.

NBC further advised Nigerians to obey directives on lock-down and observe social Distancing.
