Obaseki Appoints New Chief of Staff Few Days After Taiwo Akerele’s Resignation!!

The Edo State Governor, Mr. Godwin Obaseki has approved the appointment of Osaze Ethan Uzamere as his new Chief of Staff following the resignation of Taiwo Akerele his former Chief of Staff.

The Chief of Staff plans and directs all administrative, financial, and operational activities for the Governor. One purpose of the Chief of Staff is that, he works behind the scene to solve problems, mediate disputes and deal with issues before they are brought to the Chief Executive.

Osaze who was the Executive Assistant to Governor Obaseki before his now appointment is the son of Senator Ehigie Uzamere, who represented Edo South Senatorial District in the National Assembly between 2007 and 2011.Osaze is a graduate of Computer and Electrical Engineering from Stony Brook University, New York. His appointment was made official yesterday by Barrister Osarodion Ogies, the secretary to the state government. According to reports, Osaze the new Chief of Staff is 38 years old and as it seems, may be the youngest Chief of Staff of Edo State or the Country at large.
