9 Year Old Tests Positive To COVID-19 In Enugu.

Enugu State Commissioner for Health, Obi Ikechukwu, has revealed that the new positive case of coronavirus (COVID-19) in the state is of a nine-year-old child.

The commissioner revealed that the patient had contact with the fourth case reported in the state. With this the total number of cases ever reported in Enugu now rises to nine with seven active cases.

He noted that the decontamination of the patient’s home had been promptly carried out and urged the residents to stay at home but only go out when it was absolutely necessary.

The health commissioner also urged residents to sanitise surfaces in their environment as often as possible with a mixture of bleach and water. He also advised them to stay safe and report anyone with COVID-19 symptoms to appropriate authorities.
