Breaking: Nigeria Records 20,919 Coronavirus Cases

The fight against the ravaging coronavirus pandemic continues in Nigeria. As the Government gradually seeks to ease the country off the lockdown, the number of cases continues to rise daily.

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC, has reported 675 new covid-19 cases in Nigeria on Monday.

NCDC provided the update on it’s social media platforms, as the country’s total now sits at 20,919, with 7,109 cases discharged while 525 deaths have been recorded as at Monday.

Lagos state once again recorded the highest number of cases with 288, while Oyo State recorded 76, days after the government reopened schools and offices as the state experiences a rise in daily cases.

Rivers state had 56 new cases today, while Delta state reported 31 new confirmed cases. Ebony States had 30 confirmed cases recorded today.

In total, 21 States recorded new covid-19 infections in the country. This comes days after the country recorded as new daily high of 745 cases.
