Roger Federer Says He Will Return To Tennis By 2021.

Tennis superstar Roger Federer has revealed that he would no longer make a return to the game this year until 2021. Following his second knee surgery operation.

The Twenty-time Grand Slam singles champion, said he underwent follow-up arthroscopic surgery “a few weeks ago” after undergoing a similar keyhole procedure in February.

Roger Federer revealed in a statement on Twitter that he plans to take the necessary time to be 100 percent ready to play at his highest level.

He stated as follows;

Dear Fans,

I hope you are staying safe and healthy.

A few weeks ago, having experienced a setback during my initial rehabilitation, I had to have an additional quick arthroscopic procedure on my right knee. Now, much like I did leading up to the 2017 season, I plan to take the necessary time to be 100% ready to play at my highest level. I will be missing my fans and tour clearly but, I will look forward to seeing everyone back on tour at the start of the 2021 season.

All the best,

Roger.

Tour-level tennis has been suspended until the end of July at the earliest, with the US Open scheduled to start on August 24 and the rescheduled French Open on September 20.
