Popular Nigerian singer and song writer, Ọlawale Ọlọfọrọ Ashimi, well known as Brymo, has said that Nigeria needs to adopt the pidgin language as it’s official language.
According to the former Chocolate City artiste, the pidgin language is the country’s local lingua and it’s spoken in almost every state in the country.
“Make pidgin Nigeria first language… it’s still English, only it has bits of local lingua- it is spoken in maybe every state in the country… e go mad when presido come tv greet say “una good afternoon my fellow country people”… shiiiiiit!!!!,” Brymo wrote on his Twitter page.
What do you think? Should the pidgin language be Nigeria’s official language?
