After visiting the Helicopter crash site in Opebi, Ikeja, Lagos on Saturday, Lagos state governor Babajide Sanwo-olu has promised to renovate buildings affected by the crash.

The governor also sympathized with families deeply affected by the crash and orded an immediate integrity test conduct on both of the affected buildings to know the level of impact.

Governor Babajide Sanwo-olu via his Twitter page wrote;

I was at the site of the helicopter crash at Opebi for an on-the-spot assessment. We sincerely sympathize with the families of the victims. I met with the residents of the buildings and we all thanked God for his abiding grace.

I have ordered an immediate integrity test conduct on both of the affected buildings to know the level of impact. We are taking on the responsibility of renovations and will provide all the necessary support to cushion the effects of this tragic incident .

My sincere condolences to families, friends and associates of the victims of the helicopter operated by Quorum Aviation which crashed in Opebi, earlier today. It is indeed a very sad and unfortunate incident, and it is my prayer that God grants the deceased eternal rest and grants the families they left behind the fortitude to bear this irreplaceable loss. I hereby reassure residents that we’re working with all relevant FG agencies to unravel the remote and immediate cause of the accident so as to prevent a reoccurrence in the future.

Security officers and staff of LASEMA have been deployed to the scene of the crash to secure life and properties and forestall the break of law and order in that vicinity. My heartfelt condolences once again to everyone directly or indirectly impacted by this sad incident.
