#EndSARS: President Buhari Finally Seeks For Justice For Peaceful Protesters

When President Muhammadu Buhari addressed the current situation in the country 4-days ago, many Nigerians were disappointed as he didn’t make mention of the alleged killings of protesters at the Lekki toll gate in Lagos which happened on the 20th October, 2020.

Many Nigerians could argue it was an oversight, why others felt the lives of Nigerians meant nothing to the president as at after the live broadcast was made. The President has finally thrown light as he officially supports the judicial panel of inquiry that was set up by Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State, which their main aim is to serve justice for both the protesters and law enforcement agents who lost their lives.

In a tweet that was shared of the official handle of President Muhammadu Buahri, he said, justice will be served on behalf of the peaceful protesters and law enforcement agents who lost their lives during the #EndSARS peaceful protest.

“The Judicial Panel of Inquiry set up by the Lagos State Governor has my full support, as it commences sitting this week. I’m confident that all the State Panels will help ensure justice is done on behalf of the peaceful protesters and law enforcement agents who sadly lost their lives.” The tweet from the handle of the President reads.

Nigerians all around the world will be hoping and expecting positive reports from the Judicial Panel of Inquiry as a negative report will only bring back bad memories and pain to the families who lost their love ones to the #EndSARS protest.
