“We Stand By Our Investigation” CNN Replies FG

Cable News Network, CNN, has finally replied the Nigerian Government over it Lekki shooting investigation video which went viral online.

According to the Federal Government, the report from CNN was fabricated and for that, the Cable News Network, should be sanctioned. In her defense, CNN reacted to the sanction threats made the Federal Government, after the Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed, said the report by the media house was one-dimension and lacked balance.

In a report released by CNN, the media house said, they stand by their investigation and findings, as it was properly documented with lot of findings to back it up.

“Our reporting was carefully and meticulously researched, and we stand by it. The report was based on testimony from dozens of witnesses, and photos and video obtained and geolocated by CNN. It painted a picture of how members of the Nigerian army and the police shot at the crowd, killing at least one person and wounding dozens more.” CNN states.
