In response to an inquiry from GQ about Travis Scott’s role in the marketing plan for his forthcoming sci-fi epic Tenet, director Christopher Nolan said this: “His voice became the final piece of a yearlong puzzle.” Nolan was referring to Scott’s “The Plan,” a song whose charging synth line we can only assume encapsulates the energy of one of the most anticipated movies of 2020.
Within “The Plan,” Scott raps about eluding the police, landing Boeing jets, and, most interestingly, dancing in slow motion. What, if anything, do these things have to do with Tenet? Probably not worth thinking about while we have “The Plan” to enjoy!
