END SARS WAR: Buhari Appreciates Nigerians, Condemning Unlawful Killings

Reactions from angry Nigerians and Civil Society condemning recent activities of Special Ant-Robbery Squad, SARS, chanting “END SARS NOW” is however the bone of contention nationwide.

Nigerian President, Muhammadu Buhari in his reaction to the inhumane acts appreciated the people who continue to make their yearnings known while issues are addressed.

“I acknowledge the genuine outrage from citizens and Civil Society groups regarding the activities of SARS. As you’re aware, the Suspects in the Kolade Johnson killing are in custody. When the orderly room trial is concluded, indicted officers will be prosecuted in court.”

According to report, the killing of one Kolade Johnson by suspected SARS in Lagos has triggered all Nigerians leading the war against unlawful killings.

Buhari however reiterated: “The recent unfortunate action of SARS operatives from the Lagos State Police Command, which led to the avoidable death of Mr. Kolade Johnson, is deeply regretted.

“Once again, our condolences to the family of the deceased. I’m aware the Police authorities have visited them.”
