Eminem – Darkness

Eminem – Darkness

Off the “Music To Be Murdered By Album“, American rapper, Eminem presents new song called “Darkness,” was released with its official music video.

Eminem takes the perspective of Stephen Paddock to chillingly depict the events of the deadliest mass shooting in US history that took place at a live performance in Las Vegas in 2017. The initial two verses also serve as a metaphor for the anxiety and depression that Eminem suffers from.

The song ends with a compilation of over-layed news clips from various shootings that have occurred in the United States in recent years, perhaps suggesting that Em is attempting to bring further awareness to America’s ongoing gun problems. Em even has a quote on his website that states, “WHEN WILL THIS END? WHEN ENOUGH PEOPLE CARE.”

However, the song was said to be produced by Royce da 5’9’’, Eminem and Luis Resto.

Quotable Lines:

“And I don’t wanna be alone in the darkness (Yeah)
I don’t wanna be alone in the darkness
I don’t wanna be alone in the darkness anymore (Hello, darkness, my old friend)”
