Presidency Replies Cardi B’s interest in being a Nigerian Citizen

Nigerian presidency has replied Cardi B’s interest in filing for the Nigerian citizenship.

The rapper hinted on filing for Nigerian citizenship following the killing of Iran’s Quds Force Commander, Gen. Qasem Soleimani in an airstrike that was ordered by United States of America’s President, Donald Trump.

Cardi B took to twitter to describe the move by the US President Trump as ‘the dumbest’ and said the act by the number one citizen of her country is putting lives of Americans in danger. Cardi B’s tweet caught the eyes of Abike Dabiri-Erewa, the Senior Special Assistant to President Muhammadu Buhari on Foreign Affairs and Diaspora, who encouraged the rapper to make the move.

Responding to Cardi B, Dabiri-Erewa said, “As one in charge of the Diaspora for Ngr, We can’t wait to receive you again. Our doors are open, sister. And you need to talk a walk through the Door of Return in Badagry . It’s an indescribable experience.” Likewise, President Muhammadu Buhari’s personal assistance on social media, Bashir Ahmad, replied the comment made by the American rapper, saying Cardi B’s tweets show that Nigeria is her preferred country and depicted that Nigeria is bigger than Ghana.
