Rema VS Fireboy who has more fans and why? (Read Details)

What a time to be alive. Seeing new artiste rise to take the new generation to another dimension. Rema and Fireboy has proven beyond all reasonable doubts to be exceptionally talented.

Rema and Fireboy DML as most definitely the biggest young talents in the Nigerian music industry. They have dished out amazing materials, appeased several fans within and outside the country, amassing outrageous numbers on streaming platforms.

Though their sounds are different, the media wouldn’t just stop comparing these two. Most especially fans of YBNL and Mavin records just couldn’t forget the Lil Kesh and Reekado Banks scene at the Headies Awards.

Rema recently dropped two new singles topping the apple music Nigeria chart and maintaining a spot at the top 10 songs in audiomack worldwide.

Fireboy DML’s debut album ‘Laughter, Tears and Goosebumps’ on the other hand still remains the most streamed afrobeat album on audiomack. ‘Vibration’ off his album is still one of the most played songs on Apple Music Nigeria.

Rema and Fireboy DML fans will continue to brag about their favorites claiming he is more popular and more talented than the other.

But taking a close look at the numbers, Rema seems to have more American or foreign fans than Fireboy DML while the latter seems to have more African fans than Rema.

It’s obvious. Rema’s sound are more appealing to the west as it has more in common with the western pop culture than with afrobeat.

Only a few of his songs thrive in Africa. These songs are core afrobeat, the likes of ‘Lady’ and ‘Dumebi’.

So it’s quite understandable why Fireboy has more fans in Nigeria than Rema.
