First COVID-19 Death Has Been Recorded In Ekiti State.

The Ekiti state Commissioner for Health, Dr. Mojisola Yahaya-Kolade confirmed at a press briefing on Wednesday, that the state has recorded it’s firts covid-19 death.

The health commissioner disclosed that the deceased was a 29-year-old pregnant community health worker, who beat the curfew in operation to arrive at the state from Lagos close to her delivery date.

Dr. Mojisola further revealed that the patient died after suffering from a cardiac arrest, as she went through a cesarean section for delivery at a private hospital in the state. She added that the patient died on her arrival at a Federal Teaching Hospital in Ekiti.
