“Is This The New Normal?”- Omotola Reacts As Her Husband Flies Chinese Doctors Out of Nigeria

In a time when the world battles a common enemy and the cases in Nigeria is far from slowing down, one way wonder if life will ever return back to normal. The fear, shocked numbers of increased cases and death toll is still something most people are trying to rap their heads around. The economy is at the verge of total collapse, social activity and everyday activities are now the shadow of themselves.

Nigerian actress, songwriter and mother, Omotola Jalade Ekeide has said that she doesn’t know how to feel after her husband went on his first flight after 2 months. Omotola’s husband who is a Pilot (Captain Matthew Ekeinde) is part of the crew that flew back the Chinese doctors that arrived Nigeria in April.

She shared photos as the left and wrote;

“Is this the new normal? The Captain went on his first flight today in 2 months! Those are the Chinese people that flew in some time ago leaving! Not sure how to feel.”

It’s still shocking to Nigerians that concrete information was not given as to why the Chinese people came at the first place and now they are leaving. If feels more like they never came as their presence was indeed not felt by most citizens of Nigeria.
