37-year-old rapper Nicki Minaj (born Onika Tanya Maraj),ended a record-breaking drought, earning her first #1 hit on the Billboard Hot 100 singles charts. After a feature on Doja cat’s new song “SAY SO”.
Minaj took to Instagram on Monday, to thank all of her fans for getting her to the top of the Billboard 100 singles charts for the first time in her career.
‘Can’t thank you guys enough for going so hard this past week to help us make history. I saw it all,’ Minaj began.
‘You’ll never understand how much you uplift me with the overwhelming love & support you continue to show. I love you so much. Like so much. So much,’ she added.
Minaj and Doja Cat are also the first female duo to top the Billboard 100 in nearly six years, since Iggy Azalea’s “Fancy,” featuring Charli XCX topped the charts for seven weeks in June-July 2014.
