The All Progressive Congress (APC) governorship candidate, Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu, has called on Governor Godwin Obaseki to return back to the party.

Osagie made this statement in Benin on Monday while reading his acceptance speech after winning the party primary with over 27, 838 votes. Governor Obaseki who is currently the head of the state, was disqualified from participating in the primaries by the APC, with lead to his deflection to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to seek for a safe haven after meeting with the chieftains of the party.
“We are going to talk to everybody and we are going to bring everybody back. And let me also say that I want to salute my brother, the governor of the state, Mr. Godwin Obaseki. I will like to appeal to him to return to the party.” Osagie said.
This is more of a lost battle for Osagie, as Obaseki seems to be so far gone. Coming back to the party with no assurance and zero guarantee of getting a straight governorship ticket is unlikely and unreasonable.
