Nigerian Girl Who Was Wrongly Detained In Saudi Arabia For Drug Trafficking, Completes NYSC

December 26, 2018, will forever remain a memorable day for Zaniab Aliyu, who was wrongly arrested by Saudi Arabia authorities after contraband drug, Tramadol, was found in her bag has now passed out of National Youth Service Corps (NYSC).

Zanaib who travelled alongside her Mother and sister to Saudi Arabia for lesser hajj, became a victim of an unplanned circumstance as she was arrested by security operatives on arrival to Saudi Arabia, as a bag bearing her name contained prohibited drug (Tramadol).

Zanaib was later released on April 2019, after Nigerians took to various social media platform to plead for her release. The Chairperson of Nigerians in Diaspora Commission, Abike Dabiri-Erewa, took to her social media page to congratulate Zanaib as she passes out from NYSC.

“Remember Zainab Aliyu, wrongly ailed in Saudi for carrying drugs she had no knowledge of, and rescued by President Buhari? She just completed her NYSC.” Abike Dabiri tweeted.

Congratulations to Zanaib Aliyu, as she was one of the Batch B corps members who just passed out.
