Most football clubs have suffered dire consequences after selling it’s players to rival clubs or any other club at all. Sometimes the club gets hurt when the player scores against them, wins the league, or wins a very important competition with his new team. An example is the case of Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain winning the Champions League with Liverpool after leaving Arsenal in 2017.
However, some other times it could be the player who gets hurt after leaving the club. As the club he left could go on winning a valuable title just after his exit. Such is the case of Liverpool winning the Champions League after Coutinho left for Barcelona.

Belgian defender, Thomas Vermaelen went on to win the UEFA Champions League with Barcelona shortly after exiting Arsenal in 2014. Vermaelen was able to win six winners medal from his two years at Barcelona. In five years with Arsenal he was able to lift only one trophy.
Gaël Dimitri Clichy was able to win the English Premier League with rival club, Manchester City in 2012, shortly after he left Arsenal in 2011.
French attacking midfielder, Samri Nasri joins the list of former Arsenal players who have won prestigious trophies after leaving the club. Nasri won the English Premier League trophy with Manchester City in the 2013/2014 season, after leaving Arsenal in 2011.
After leaving Arsenal in 2011, Spain international, Cesc Fabregas went on to win the English Premier League twice with Chelsea. Both in the 2014–15, 2016–17 season.

Although he had the most goals in a 38-game league season, scoring 30 goals in the 2011/2012 English Premier League season with Arsenal, Dutchman Robin Van Persie moved on to win the 2012/2013 English Premier League title with Manchester United.
