After about 3months of the social media space DMW boss, Davido has finally made a comeback with his new song FEM, which is supposedly a diss track at Burna Boy.
The song has been well received by fans of the 30Billion Gang artist, as it has hit over 1.4 Million views on YouTube.
The word ‘FEM’ is a Yoruba slang that means SHUT UP.
In the first lines of the song, Davido sang, “E be like you don dey talk too much, small talk you don dey talk, fem. O boy, you don dey do too much, small talk you don dey look who talk, fem…”
Then the shots and threats began, “Person wey dey find pity, nor dey do me itty bitty. You wan know 30 BG, you go know 30 GB when you see 30 BG…”
It was very clear that the song was a diss track aimed at ‘Twice At Tall’ album crooner, Burna Boy when Davido said, “Then Odogwu say we ‘Like To Party’ just call me…:”
This can be linked to Burna Boy’s first single from his album, L.I.F.E, dubbed ‘Like To Party.’
The cause of the diss between the two, however, remains unknown.
Recall a few months ago, Burna Boy shaded Davido after he made an online post declaring himself and Wizkid “the two greatest of all time”.
“You cannot play football, everybody knows you cannot play football and you are an embarrassment to the team. But your daddy bought the football team,” Burna Boy had written on Instagram – a post many took as an obvious shade to Davido.
We are yet to get a response from Burna Boy however.
