In a time when the Nigerians seek for justice, and questions the Federal Government as to who ordered the shooting of peaceful protesters at the Lekki toll gate on the 20th October, 2020, Pope Francis has called on the world to pray for Nigeria.
Pope Francis is, as the Bishop of Rome, the head of the Catholic Church and sovereign of the Vatican City State. He took to his official social media handle to ask the world to pray for Nigeria as they pass through a tough phase in their history.
“Let us pray to the Lord for Nigeria, so that every form of violence might always be avoided, in the constant search of social harmony through the promotion of justice and the common good.” Pope Francis wrote.
