PENGASSAN Oil Workers Set To Begin Indefinite Strike.

Oil workers under the Petroleum and Natural Gas Senior Staff Association of Nigeria (PENGASSAN) have announced that the union is set to commence an indefinite strike following Government’s inability to meet to their demands.

The order was issued in a letter dated November 8, 2020, and signed by the General Secretary, PENGASSAN, Lumumba Okugbawa.

The directive comes after the expiration of a seven-day ultimatum given to the Federal Government over IPPIS implementation agreement.

The aftermath of an indefinite strike by the union means that scarcity of fuel and other petroleum products may hit Nigeria starting from this week.
