Singer, Teni Fights Dirty With Shizzi Over The Production Of “Case”. (See Full Details)

Popular Nigerian singer, Teni recently got involved in a battle of words with record producer, Shizzi over the production credits to her 2018 hit single “Case”.

Shizzi accused Teni and her label of cheating him by reproducing her song, Case without his consent.

In an exchange of words via their respective Twitter pages on Saturday, December 18, 2021, Shizzi disclosed that Teni and her label gave their in-house producer the song, Case even though he was the one that produced it from scratch.

The dispute started when Teni wrote about people who “use” others with no remorse. “Users have no pity, they’ll use you and feel no remorse, don’t let that crown shift. Walk away,” Teni wrote.

However, in response Shizzi replied her saying she was talking about herself as she double-crossed him on her song, Case. “Oh you don dey feel am? Them don dey serve you breakfast already? See who’s talking about users???“, Shizzi replied her.

You, that took a song that I produced with you “Case” and you went and gave your in-house producer to reproduce it without my consent and you released the song and your guy “Nurse Dolor” endorsed it with no remorse till 2day.., you’re talking about users.. nah stop it! 😂🤦🏾‍♂️“, Shizzi continued.

As the argument boiled on Twitter Shizzi shared a photo of the production flow for Teni’s “Case” which the singer rejected as proof, claiming that only the stems are acceptable.

Following Teni’s request for a detailed proof, Shizzi then shared a video of himself and the singer on the day they made “Case”.

“You asked for it and here is one of the receipts. A video of the day we made #Case. Today the whole world knows who you are. The real person you are! An ungrateful element.

If you don’t know music business or how this shit works just hush Shushing face Music creation is lyrics and production. 50/50

Keep playing with me and I’ll tell Sony to take down the song & video in full effect!!! Tell me these beats don’t have the same chords!” Shizzi wrote.

As the exchange of words became intense, Nigerian producer, JaySynths who produced Teni’s smash hit song, “Case” in 2018 gave his detailed explanation on the dispute between the singer and Shizzi.

JaySynths explained in a new post via his Twitter that Case was recorded as a freestyle before Teni requested to have Shizzi on as the producer.

According to JaySynths, he and Teni had recorded Case as a freestyle before she traveled to Atlanta to get Shizzi to produce it.

“Teni and I had a freestyle of this song (CASE) before she went back to Atlanta. She had said she wanted Shizzi to produce the song for her (reason for the video) but obviously things did’nt go the way she planned. She got back to Naija and I produced the song from the scratch,” JaySynths wrote.

Teni released Case in 2018 and that became a really big song in the country at the time and became the singer’s grand entry into the music industry.
