The 2023 BET Awards took place in Los Angeles at the Microsoft Theatre. This year, the event honored 50 years of hip-hop with special performances curated by Kid Capri.

Nigerian artists Burna Boy and Tems were triumphant at the BET Awards, with Davido delivering an outstanding performance.

Tems was honored in the Best Collaboration category for her remarkable contribution to the Grammy award-winning track, “Wait For U” with Future and Drake. On the other hand, Burna Boy clinched the esteemed title of Best International Act.

• Album of the Year (Tie): Beyoncé’s “Renaissance” and SZA’s “SOS.”
• Best Female R&B/Pop Artist: SZA.
• Best Male R&B/Pop Artist (Tie): Chris Brown and Usher.
• Best Group: Drake & 21 Savage.
• Best Collaboration: “Wait For U” by Future featuring Drake & Tems.
• Best Female Hip Hop Artist: Latto.
• Best Male Hip Hop Artist: Kendrick Lamar.
• Video of the Year: SZA’s “Kill Bill.”
• Video Director of the Year: Teyana “Spike Tey” Taylor.
• Best New Artist: Coco Jones.
• Dr. Bobby Jones Best Gospel/Inspirational Award: “Bless Me” by Maverick City Music & Kirk Franklin.
• Viewer’s Choice Award: Beyoncé’s “Break My Soul.”
• Best International Act: Burna Boy.
• Viewer’s Choice: Best New International Act: Libianca.
• BET Her Award: Beyoncé’s “Break My Soul.”
• Best Movie: “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.”
• Best Actor: Damson Idris.
• Best Actress: Angela Bassett.
• Youngstars Award: Marsai Martin.
• Sportswoman of the Year Award: Angel Reese.
