Born in Abuja, Nigeria, NIQ was raised in a loving Christian family, with his father hailing from Taraba State and his mother from Delta State. From a young age, NIQ discovered his passion for music, and at the tender age of 8, he began honing his vocal skills. Throughout his journey, he has been supported by his two sisters, making music a true
family affair.
NIQ’s talent blossomed during his education at Valid Crown Primary School in Abuja, and later at Jos Government College, where he completed his secondary education. It was during this time that he made the decision to pursue a professional music career, dedicating himself wholeheartedly to his craft.
With an eclectic range of musical influences, including Ruger, Blaqbones, Rema, Burnaboy, and CKay, NIQ’s unique sound is a captivating blend of contemporary vibes and meaningful lyrics. Drawing inspiration from his emotions and everyday life experiences, NIQ’s music resonates deeply with listeners, connecting them to his art on a profound level.
