Amidst speculations and surprising allegations, Davido has provided an explanation for his non-participation in the ‘Warri Again’ concert.

Davido, the acclaimed singer and performer, has shed light on the reasons behind his absence from the recent ‘Warri Again’ concert held in Delta State.

Addressing accusations of accepting a sum exceeding $94,000 from Amaju Pinnick to grace the event with his presence, the singer has set the record straight. He revealed that he had informed the concert organizers well in advance that he would not be available for the event. Consequently, he expressed confusion as to why his name was still used for promotional purposes.

In addition to offering an apology, Davido assured his devoted fans that he would bring his own concert to Warri, Delta State, expressing gratitude for their unwavering support.

On Sunday, October 9, 2023, Davido shared a post on his Instagram platform, stating, “To my beloved fans in Warri who invested their hard-earned money to attend, I apologize that you had to go through this experience. I had already communicated my physical unavailability to ‘them’ many, many months ago. However, for reasons known only to them, they continued to promote the event using my name. It’s regrettable. But, especially for my fans out there, don’t worry; you know I’ll bring ‘Timeless’ to Delta State. We will do it properly, on a grander scale, and even better!”
