Rexxie Expresses Gratitude to Davido for Support During Ugandan Arrest

On March 11, 2024, Nigerian record producer Rexxie, also known as Ezeh Chisom Faith, found himself detained by Ugandan Immigration. In the midst of this challenging situation, Rexxie took to Instagram to appreciate the words of encouragement he received from fellow artist Davido.

Despite labeling his arrest as “unfair,” Rexxie didn’t disclose the specific reasons behind the detainment. Seeking support from his followers, he posted on Instagram, saying, “I’ve been arrested at the Ugandan Immigration. Pls I need help.” On the same day, he expressed his gratitude to Davido through his Instagram story, tagging him as “different” and acknowledging that Davido’s message provided him with peace of mind.

It’s worth noting that Ugandan authorities had also detained other Nigerian artists, including Tems and Omah Lay, over charges related to their performance at a concert that violated COVID-19 regulations. Tems and Omah Lay were eventually released after spending two days in custody.
