Tinubu Swears in Eight New Permanent Secretaries

President Bola Tinubu has officially sworn in a new group of Permanent Secretaries for the Federal Civil Service.

The swearing-in ceremony took place prior to the weekly Federal Executive Council meeting, which is currently being chaired by President Tinubu.

The President explained that the appointment of these Permanent Secretaries was necessitated by the need to address existing and upcoming vacancies within various states and geo-political zones in the top administrative ranks of the Civil Service of the Federation.

The Office of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation conducted a thorough selection process for these positions. This process included a written examination, an ICT proficiency test, and an interactive session with a wide range of stakeholders.

As a result of this rigorous selection process, eight directors in the Federal Civil Service were promoted to the position of Permanent Secretaries.

The newly appointed Permanent Secretaries are:

• Emanso Okop Umobong (Akwa Ibom)
• Emeka Vitalis Obi (Anambra)
• Fatima Sugra Tabi’a Mahmood (Bauchi)
• Mohammed Sanusi Danjuma (Jigawa)
• Olubunmi Olusanya (Ondo)
• Maryam Ismaila Keshinro (Zamfara)
• Chinyere Ijeoma Akujobi (South East Zone)
• Christopher Osaruwanmwen Isokpunwu (South South Zone)

These appointments are aimed at strengthening the administrative capacity and ensuring efficient service delivery within the Federal Civil Service.
