Police Release Zfancy on Bail After Prank Video Controversy

Zion Ubani, popularly known as Zfancy, has been released on bail by the Nigeria Police Force following his arrest on July 4 in Abuja. The arrest stemmed from prank videos that sparked allegations of serious crimes, including rape.

Confirming the release, Force Public Relations Officer ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi disclosed that Zfancy was granted bail to the executives of the Practitioners of Content Creation, Skit-Making, and Influencers Guild of Nigeria (PCCSIGN). This action followed investigations that revealed the videos were scripted.

Adejobi emphasized the importance of responsible social media use, urging content creators to avoid spreading misinformation that could potentially disrupt public peace.
