The whole world has been crippled by the current covid-19 pandemic, which has affected so many creatives, including professionals in the music industry. Deeply affecting their source of livelihood.

Right now every musician (both upcoming and working) are pretty much affected by it, as lots of music concerts, tours, shows, and even studio recordings have been put on hold by the pandemic. This has led to financial losses for every artist and the entertainment industry at large.

One way to keep people engaged during this lockdown is by creating engaging contents on social media. You can create short videos and you can engage your fans by asking how they feel about tour contents, then ask them to share your contents, so it can get a wider reach too.

2. ORGANISE GIVEAWAYS AND COMPETITIONS.

It’s alright to be generous at a time like this, especially in Nigeria where most people feed on a daily wage. You could be nice enough to ask your fans what they need and possibly help them out in either cash or kind, to make sure this needs are met. This can go a long way to cementing your relationship with your fans and gaining a new fan-base too. However do this if it is within your means. But it’s still not bad if you can go the extra mile with your generosity.

You can also set up a giveaway for free tickets to your next show after the lockdown. Post a picture telling fans about the show and the details. Then have them like, comment and share their thoughts on the show.

Set up competitions and challenges on Instagram, thatare not difficult to accomplish but fun to do and watch. You too can go ahead and partake in the challenge. Take a moment and answer all of the comments. This will give the fans a real feeling of connection with you.
