Top Five Most Valuable Footballers In Africa 2020. (See List)

The International Centre for Sports Studies, known as CIES, released a list of the top 100 most valuable players in the world.

The list involved players from the five top flight leagues across Europe.

French attacker, Kylian Mbappe, topped the list as the most valuable player in the world with an estimated transfer value of €259M.

Two African players however were amongst the top 10 most valuable players on the list. These players were Sadio Mane of Senegal and Egyptian star Mohammed Salah.

Also Victor Osimhen and Wilfred Ndidi are the only Super Eagles players on the list and in truth, they are currently the most highly rated Nigerian players.

Below is the CIES list of the Top Five Most Valuable Footballers In Africa:

1. Mohammed Salah – (€144.9M Egypt)

2. Sadio Mane – (€139.2M -Senegal)

3. Nicholas Pepe -(€75M – Ivory coast)

4. Victor Osimhen – (€64.3M – Nigeria)

5. Wilfred Ndidi – (€50M – Nigeria)

On the CIES list, Osimhen is fourth from an African perspective with Egypt and Liverpool star Mohamed Salah, Senegal and Liverpool player Sadio Mane and Cote d’Ivoire and Arsenal winger Nicolas Pepe all above him. While Ndidi is ranked fifth in Africa.
