Former Liverpool Manager and France national team manager, Gérard Houllier has died age 73. Sports daily L’Equipe confirmed that he had died after having a heart operation in Paris.
Gérard led Liverpool to Uefa Cup, FA Cup and League Cup treble in 2000-200¹ premier League season.
He was also manager of France national team between 1992 and 1993.
He had had a long history of medical problems and had heart surgery in 2001 after falling ill while managing Liverpool against Leeds United
