English Premier League club, Tottenham have announced their intention to sign former Atletico Madrid striker, Diego Costa during the January transfer window.
According to Spanish media outlet La Razon, Jose Mourinho wants Costa at Tottenham after he terminated his contract with Atletico recently.
The forward worked with current Spurs boss Jose Mourinho when the two were together at Chelsea in their title-winning side of 2014/15.
Mourinho brought Costa to Stamford Bridge in the summer of 2014 after he fired Atletico to the La Liga title and Champions League final.
He helped the Blues win the Premier League again in 2017 under Antonio Conte.
The Italian wanted rid of Costa and he was eventually sold back to Atletico in January 2018 for a reported fee of £50million.
